aJune2015_165bJulia Davie, BA, RYT 200, R.H.N. is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. After graduating from Trent University in 2006, Julia felt drawn to the profession of holistic health and wellness. She moved to Ottawa to complete her 200 hour yoga alliance certified teacher training at Upward Dog Yoga Center. Through yoga Julia learned to help others nurture their minds and bodies through movement and meditation. However, she was becoming increasingly aware of the fact that most people in her life were overfed and undernourished. Her students, family and friends were expecting peak performance from bodies that were fueled by fragmented and deficient diets. Determined to support people on their journey towards complete and holistic health, Julia embarked upon her journey towards becoming a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

Julia has extensive training in the areas of food allergies, sports nutrition, pediatric nutrition, prenatal and postnatal nutrition, preventative nutrition, aging, and menu planning. As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Julia is also well educated in pathology, symptomatology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry, bio-chemistry, cellular biology, and eco-nutrition.

Julia’s services emphasize the importance of whole, live and natural foods. Striving to make healthy eating accessible and enjoyable for her clients, Julia believes that food can be both nutritious and delicious! As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist Julia understands the unique needs of each client and works with them to develop and implement a healthy eating plan individualized to their needs. Julia strives to empower her clients through education and nutritional support. Julia inspires her clients to make choices, and live healthier and more vibrant lives.

Julia’s personal interests include practicing and teaching weekly yoga classes, hiking, organic gardening and beekeeping! A perpetual learner, Julia also loves researching and reading everything she can get her hands on regarding health, wellness and nutrition. As a spouse and the mother of a busy (and hungry) toddler Julia enjoys creating nutritious and delicious recipes on a daily basis.
